Great Blue Heron Charity Golf Classic raised $180,000

On Wednesday September 21st, one hundred and forty four golfers had a “sweet” time at the Candy Land Classic. Players enjoyed a fun-filled day of golf, food and prizes in support of the Port Perry Hospital Foundation and the Starlight Children’s Foundation.

15th Annual Great Blue Heron Charity Golf Classic
The Great Blue Heron Charity Casino’s Fifteenth Annual Charity Golf Classic, candy themed event, raised $180,000 for the two charities. The tally included a $35,000 donation from the Baagwating Community Association and the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation, who once again contributed generously to this event.

Over the past fifteen years the Great Blue Heron Charity Golf Classic has raised a grand total of $1.5 million.

The 16th annual Great Blue Heron Charity Golf Classic will be held on Wednesday, September 12th, 2012, once again at the spectacular Wyndance Golf Club.
